Celtic have been linked with a potential move for Molde winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, a player who fans will be familiar with from earlier this season.
Elyounoussi has scored 19 goals in his last 40 matches for the Norwegian team, including a goal in both 2-1 and 3-1 defeats of the Scottish champions in Europa League games.
The 21-year-old started his career with Sarpsborg 08 before moving to Molde in 2014, scoring 52 career goals for the teams, whilst claiming five caps for his country so far in his career. The Moroccan-born Norwegian is also no stranger of Celtic with being an international team-mate to midfielder Stefan Johansen.
Molde topped Group A and are in the last 32 of the Europa League, with a two-legged tie against reigning champions Sevilla next month potentially being a great lure to remain at the club if a concrete offer came in.
However, the lure of Celtic and their domestic competitions was enough to bring in Erik Sviatchenko despite his former club Midtjylland still being in the competition.
Molde have also finished sixth in the Norwegian Tippeligaen, ruling the club out of European competition next season, while Celtic are still fighting for a European place come next season.
With his stock rising the Norwegian’s price tag would be roughly £2 million for the winger who scored a stunning volley against Celtic at Paradise earlier this season.
Ronny Deila has spent nearly £6 million in his last two major transfers, and will be allowed more money to spend if needed to get back to the Champions League.
