Celtic hit Hamilton for eight as they put on a five-star performance in the first-half at Paradise.

Mikael Lustig opened the scoring after four minutes from Stuart Armstrong’s free-kick.

Nir Bitton quickly doubled Celtic’s lead with a stunning 30-yard strike after a prolonged period of pressure on Hamilton.

Tom Rogic added a third after a deflected goal saw the Hoops move clear in the game and wrap up the points after just 10 minutes.

Leigh Griffiths scored three goals, two in the first-half but the best was on 54 minutes after lobbing the Accies ‘keeper.

Substitute James Forrest scored the sixth in the game to help the league champions move six points clear at the top.

Hamilton scored a consolation goal after 73 minutes.

Callum McGregor added an eighth goal in the final minute.

The rescheduled fixture ended up being a blessing in disguise for Celtic as the original fixture date (December 5th) the squad was struggling and riddled with injuries.
