Nadir Ciftci’s nightmare season continued in his latest appearance for loan side Eskisehirspor.
The 24-year-old striker has played a total of 72 minutes in two games for the Turkish side, lasting just 34 minutes on his debut before being subbed off.
In his latest appearance yesterday (Sunday), the striker received two yellow cards just one minute apart and was sent off for this high challenge on Antalyaspor’s ‘keeper on the 83rd minute.
Eskisehirspor held on to get their first win in four games but any plans they have for Ciftci for the remainder of the season could be scuppered by this terrible start.
Ciftci’s two appearances since moving on loan to Turkish side Eskisehirspor who are currently bottom of the Super Lig on goal difference will do little to help his future at Celtic.
Since making his summer from Dundee United to Paradise, the Turk has struggled to adapt to life at a big club and has scored just four times in 22 appearances.
The signing of Colin Kazim-Richards last month on deadline day as well as Stefan Scepovic and Anthony Stokes returning from loan spells at the end of the season could see Ciftci’s time at Celtic cut short as a result of his poor performances.
