Three first-half goals secured Celtic’s place in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

Leigh Griffiths fired Celtic into the lead after 14 minutes after capitalising on a defensive mistake from Gary Mackay-Steven’s cross.

The provider for the first doubled the Hoops’ lead after 25 minutes from Kieran Tierney’s cross.

Mackay-Steven found himself in space inside the box and shot first time from a low cross to give the home side clear daylight.

Callum McGregor made his first appearance since the 2-1 loss to Aberdeen and confirmed Celtic’s place in the semi-final draw with a curling left-footed effort.

Celtic controlled the game and substitute Patrick Roberts looked impressive once again when he came on and made plenty of purposeful runs, creating several goal scoring chances for himself and his team-mates.

The draw will take place later today at 4:45pm and will be live on Sky Sports News.
