Celtic captain Scott Brown has revealed who the most fined player at the club due to their poor discipline.
The 30-year-old has been at the club for almost a decade, having joined from Hibernian in 2007, and has seen his fair share of dressing room ill-discipline.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Brown revealed the most fined Celtic player saying:
Stokesy does really well for our fine committee.
Anthony Stokes was fined and suspended for two weeks after his comments on social media for a lack of playing time, and was regularly fined for being late to the team bus amongst other things.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at the skippers former club in Edinburgh, but that hasn’t made Brown forget about his antics.
Carlton Cole also revealed last week that he is regularly fined at Celtic when he returned to the Lennoxtown training ground following a prolonged absence for personal reasons.
Stokes and manager Ronny Deila haven’t seen eye-to-eye since the Norwegian joined the club in 2014.
Deila opted to play the Irishman on the wing rather that as a striker where he has plied his trade for his entire career.
In his 192 appearances for Celtic, Stokes has scored 76 goals and provided 66 assists in his five-and-a-half years at the club.
