Olympiakos want to sign Efe Ambrose
It’s fair to say that most Celtic fans will not be unhappy to hear the news that Olympiakos look set to rekindle their interest in signing defender Efe Ambrose.
As reported by Craig Swan of the Daily Record, the Greek side tried to sign Ambrose in January 2015 but were unable to arrange a deal, but they apparently look set to try to get their man once more.
Ambrose will likely be needed to play in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against Astana, but with new signing Kolo Toure set to be available for the second leg, Celtic could well let Ambrose go.
Swan says that new boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to let a few players leave as he moulds his squad and it looks like the Nigerian international defender could be one of the players shown the door as the club prepare for the new season.
