As the final month of the transfer window approaches, Brendan Rodgers will look to trim his squad further and add more quality to his side.
Having spent the last month analysing the squad and identifying it’s strengths and weaknesses, Rodgers has gone and signed two players in Moussa Dembele and Kolo Toure.
More signings are expected to be made between now and the end of August, but a number of players will likely move in the other direction as Rodgers selects his preferred players for his style of play.
With preseason and the Hoops’ quest to return to the group stages of the Champions League in full-swing, tendencies in the managers approach and team selection have already become evident.
With that in mind, we have picked six players who could suffer as a result of Rodgers’ preferred set-up and personnel, therefore moving on from Celtic within the next month.

Liam Henderson
He hasn’t featured much during pre-season under Brendan Rodgers, and Liam Henderson could be forced to go out on loan or move on a permanent basis to get regular playing time. Rumours have been circling that the youngster is set to return to Hibernian and link up with Neil Lennon.
Stefan Johansen
With a surplus of midfielders in Celtic’s ranks, Stefan Johansen could be one of the players cut as he enters the final year of his contract to take some pressure of the bloated squad. As rumours continue that he is wanted in Turkey, he could well be on the move before August 31st.
Scott Allan
A lost cause seemingly and one transfer that has baffled me most in recent years whilst allowing Liam Henderson out on loan when he is younger and has more ability. Nevertheless, I believe Scott Allan’s future lies beyond Celtic and will see him move to his ninth club in his career.
Kris Commons
At the end of next month Kris Commons will turn 33 and although he is one of Celtic’s best players in recent years, he doesn’t suit Rodgers’ 3-5-2 formation that requires defensive discipline and high fitness levels to press the ball in midfield.
Tom Rogic
Entering the final year of his contract, Tom Rogic doesn’t seem to be an closer to signing a new deal and Celtic should cash in on the creative midfielder before he walks away on a free transfer.
Efe Ambrose
A player who is continually berated by the Celtic support before a ball is kicked due to prior defensive errors, Efe Ambrose should move on for the club before his contract expires next summer.
