Celtic target move for Jean-Kevin Duverne
Reports in France are linking Celtic with a move for highly-rated teenage Lens defender Jean-Kevin Duverne this month, say the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old broke into the Lens side at the start of the season and has made 18 appearances for the club in Ligue 2 so far this season and has caught the eye of a number of clubs.
One of those clubs is believed to be Celtic who are always on the looking out for talented young stars to bring in and develop into quality players. Two fine examples would be Moussa Dembele and Kristoffer Ajer.
Any move for Duverne would likely be reliant on whether Celtic can offload another centre-back in the January transfer window, with two seemingly close to the exit door.
Firstly Dedryck Boyata, who has only made one appearance so far this season. It’s reported that Anderlecht are interested in taking him on loan for the rest of the season but Celtic sources say they are yet to receive an approach for the 26-year-old.
Efe Ambrose also looks set to leave the club this month, with a loan move to either Blackburn or Wolves tipped for the Nigerian.
