Over the last 18 months, Patrick Roberts has made a massive impact at Parkhead.

After joining on loan from Manchester City, Roberts immediately became an impact player for the Bhoys but has really stepped it up a level this season.

With nine goals and 17 assists in all competitions this season as Celtic edge closer to a historic treble and going the whole domestic season unbeaten, you can see why they want to keep the England U20 international around for a little while longer.

Celtic remain in talks with Manchester City over the future of Roberts say the Daily Mail, as the Bhoys are keen on striking a deal to take him on a second loan spell.

Pep Guardiola will be investing big into his squad in the summer and it remains to be seen if Roberts fits into his plans for next season.

Would you like Patrick Roberts back on loan next season?

Yes

No

The attacking midfielder could be given a chance to impress him during pre-season but with the wealth of options they have in the attacking midfield areas, it’s hard to see Roberts playing a role in their first-team next season.

Roberts made three appearances for City after his £12m move from Fulham in the summer of 2015 before joining Celtic on an 18-month loan where he has truly flourished. If he’s not part of Guardiola’s first-team picture next season, then another loan with Celtic would be a great move for all parties.
