Kieran Tierney has declared himself fit to play against England next month despite breaking in jaw in Saturday’s treble-clinching game.

The 19-year-old left back was forced off after an elbow from Jayden Stockley midway through the first half and was taken to hospital where he discovered the full extent of his injury.

According to the Daily Record, the youngster will be kept in Gordon Strachan’s squad for a crucial World Cup qualifier against England on June 10th at Hampden.

Tierney made a dramatic return to the stadium on Saturday with the Celtic medical staff as Tom Rogic fired Celtic to immortality in Brendan Rodgers’ first season in charge.

As his team mates celebrated on the field, Tierney was seen racing up the main entrance at the national stadium to join in.

The youngster has been in the wars this season having undergone surgery last year on his ankle following a training ground injury and also had surgery on his shoulder.

Despite interest from leading clubs in England Tierney has maintained he is happy at Celtic having rejected a £10 million bid from Arsenal last summer to work under Rodgers at the Hoops.
