Dembele wants to create a successful partnership with Ntcham
Moussa Dembele is determined to create a successful partnership with his former French teammate Olivier Ntcham, according to a report from the Evening Times.
Ntcham recently completed the move from Manchester City to Celtic and he has already made two impressive appearances at Parkhead.
The Celtic supporters were excited about his arrival with the positive reports about his ability and potential. Dembele feels the same buzz and he is set on utilising Ntcham’s talent to create a strong bond between the two of them on the pitch.
Speaking about Celtic’s new arrival, Dembele said:
You can expect him to make runs, he has good vision, he is a midfielder who loves to have the ball and play a pass that no-one thinks he can play. He is skilful and we can expect goals from him as well. He has got everything in his locker and it is up to him to come here to work and improve. I am 100% sure that he will improve and we will see the best of him this season.
We have a very good relationship. Even when he was in Italy we would call each other once a week and ask how are you and to see how the football was going. We are close friends, sometimes I would say he is my brother. We are very close and I am happy to see him here.
I am 100% if we are both on the pitch we will be a good partnership. He understands me, I understand him. It is not just on the pitch, it is off the pitch too that we are very close and I can’t wait to play with him.
Brendan Rodgers has been busy in the transfer market this summer. Ntcham follows Jonny Hayes and Kundai Benyu through the doors at Celtic, while they have also been linked with a move for Queens Park Rangers defender, Steven Caulker.
Dembele has been linked with moves away from the club in the past but it is looking increasingly likely that the French forward will remain with the club after a brilliant debut season, helping the Hoops to a domestic treble.
