Celtic duo Moussa Dembele and Oliver Ntcham both played a key role in a 2-1 victory over Montenegro for France’s U21s last night, as per the Daily Record.
Dembele, who is working his way back to full fitness after a hamstring injury which kept him sidelined, played 83 minutes of football, while Ntcham was replaced just after the hour mark.
Neither player was able to get their name on the scoresheet, with Bournemouth’s Lys Mousset and Strasbourg’s Martin Terrier’s goals sending the French side top of their Euro 2019 qualifying group.
There had been some concern from Celtic regarding the decision to name Moussa Dembele in the squad, with Brendan Rodgers likely to be desperate to avoid any injuries or knocks before their Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich that follows the international break.
Ntcham, a £4.5 million signing from Manchester City this summer, has impressed already this season as he begins to get to grips with the demands of Scottish football.
