Griffiths says Celtic will take the PSG result ‘on the chin’
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths is looking forward to the club’s meeting with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
The Scotttish champions travel to the French capital on the back of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Ross County.
Speaking after the game, as reported by the Belfast Telegraph, Griffiths says it will be a great occasion for the club, regardless of the result.
We know how hard it is going to be but that is why we are in this competition, we want to go and compete against the best and if we get beat, we get beat and we will take it on the chin. But we look to try and get a result.
In the previous meeting between the two sides it was Paris Saint-Germain who came out as comfortable winners.
Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe were all on the scoresheet at Celtic Park as the French side ran out 5-0 winners.
With Anderlecht facing a rejuvenated Bayern Munich side, Celtic know that a defeat is not the worst result for them, as they look to be in a good spot to pick up qualification to the Europa League.
