An Odsonne Edouard hat-trick and a James Forrest brace sealed another three points for The Bhoys as they stretched their domestic unbeaten run of games to that famous number, 67.

Celtic now sit seven points ahead of second-place Aberdeen who play Rangers tomorrow at Pittodrie Stadium (The Champions will still have a game in hand over The Dons after this weekend.)

It did not take long for Celtic to break the deadlock as Edouard connected with a Scott Sinclair cross to tap the ball home after 16 minutes.

Then, 17 minutes later the Frenchman sealed a brace to double the home side’s lead as he brilliantly finished the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

The match seemed to be sealed at half-time, however it would be made tense for a short period of the second half as Elliot Frear finished from close range after 65 minutes, to make the score 2-1.

Moreover, the introduction of in-form James Forrest sparked a reaction from The Hoops, and he made it 3-1 after 76 minutes by cutting inside and curling the ball into the bottom corner.

After 84 minutes, 19-year-old Edouard sealed his hat-trick by capitalising on a poor defensive header and slipping the ball home. The score stood 4-1.

It would only get worse for Motherwell when Forrest doubled his tally with a superb finish from the outside of his boot, making it 5-1 to The Hoops.
