Celtic set to step up their interest in Lewis Morgan
Celtic are ready to step up their interest in St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan, according to a report from the Daily Record.
The 21-year-old has also attracted interest from English Championship clubs Nottingham Forest and Preston North End after producing a number of eye catching displays for The Buddies.
He’s scored 10 goals in 21 games in all competitions this season and that has reportedly alerted Celtic to his talent.
The Bhoys have a policy under Brendan Rodgers of looking to acquire young, talented players and develop them further, which makes the reported interest in the Scottish U21 star all the more believable.
Whether he’s at the standard to come in and play for Celtic straight away remains to be seen, but at 21-years-old, he certainly has time on his side and we’ve already seen that Rodgers is able to get the best out of youngsters and help take their game to another level.
