Scott Sinclair bagged a brace but a mixture of sloppy defending and poor play from Celtic saw the game end in a 2-2 draw for the second time this season against Hibernian.

James Forrest missed a glorious chance to put Celtic ahead on 25 minutes after reading the play well, but shot wide of the left hand post with only the ‘keeper to beat from 14-yards out.

Sinclair was virtually anonymous in first-half but stepped up when it was needed most to open the scoring after firing home Edouard’s shot that cannoned off the post on the hour mark.

And the winger doubled the Hoops’ lead on 64 minutes with a cool finish beyond the ‘keeper after a brilliant run forward by Callum McGregor.

Captain Scott Brown denied a near certain goal with a fantastic clearing tackle but former Hoops defender Efe Ambrose pulled one back for the Edinburgh side with 15 minutes remaining.

Substitute Oli Shaw put the teams level three minutes later after spinning Jozo Simunovic and firing beyond Craig Gordon.
