Celtic eyeing up move for Compper
Celtic are eyeing up a move for RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper in the January transfer window.
According to German publication Kicker, Celtic are interested in the defender, who has been told he can leave in January.
The report claims that Leipzig will not stand in his way if he wishes to leave in January.
Compper is not highly-rated at Leipzig and Celtic have expressed a desire to bring him to Scotland in the New Year.
The 32-year-old has been told by Sporting Director Ralf Rangnick that the club will not try to stop him from leaving.
He has played over 70 league matches for Leipzig since joining the club in 2014 from Italian side Fiorentina.
The German-born defender has been capped once by his country. His solitary cap came in 2008 against England, whilst he was playing for Hoffenheim.
Brendan Rodgers is looking to strengthen his defence in January.
