Forrest aiming to keep up scoring form
Despite already setting an individual record for most goals scored in a campaign, Celtic winger James Forrest says that he is not letting up, and is targeting even more goals for the Hoops this season, Sky Sports report.
The Scottish international has already found the back of the net 11 times in 31 appearances in all competitions for Celtic this season.
Brendan Rodgers’ record-breaking side are still yet to taste defeat in domestic competitions in 69 games, with Forrest and his teammates looking to make it 70 when they travel to Hearts this weekend.
Forrest has already surpassed his previous highest total of goals in a season, with just over half of the season still to play.
The Hoops are five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a game in hand, and Forrest wants to continue his good form in front of goal over the course of the campaign.
I am glad to be contributing to the team and I just want to keep scoring more. It is good for the manager to have players scoring goals from all over the park and obviously on a personal note for me, it is really good as it helps the confidence.
