Team news: Celtic v Partick Thistle (H)
Celtic will be aiming to respond after their bitterly disappointing defeat to Hearts on Sunday, when they face Patrick Thistle on Wednesday night at Parkhead.
Brendan Rodgers tasted domestic defeat for the first time as manager at the weekend and will be looking for his side to come back and produce a good display against bottom side Partick.
The two sides last met at Firhill at the start of the season where an Oliver Ntcham volley was enough to see Celtic pick up all three points in a close encounter and the Hoops will hope for another victory on Wednesday.
Alan Archibald’s team were beaten 3-0 by Dundee last time out and face a tough task lifting themselves off the bottom of the table against the league leaders.
Celtic
Tom Rogic remains out after missing the Hearts game and has been ruled out till next year with a knee injury.
Patrick Roberts will also not be included as he is still recovering from a recurring hamstring injury that has plagued him since his return to Celtic in August and is not expected to return until well into 2018.
Anthony Ralston has continued to train with the team but will not be ready in time for Wednesday’s game due to the meniscus problem that has kept him out since September.
Partick Thistle
Midfielder, Martin Woods picked up a knock last week but was able to play a part against Dundee in the Jags’ previous game so will likely be involved for the trip to Celtic.
Long-term injuries mean that Stuart Bannigan, Callum Booth, Mustapha Dumbuya, Christie Elliott and Abdul Osman will all miss out as they are yet to recover.
