Will make his first European appearance for the club since last season’s 7-0 hammering against Barcelona.
Mikael Lustig
Will have to put in as good a performance as he possibly can as well as having some luck if he’s to contain any threat on the right-wing. Hopefully won’t be beaten for pace too frequently but he more than likely will.
Kristoffer Ajer
On current form he’s the best centre-half in the team and will be one of the first names on the team sheet on Thursday.
Jozo Simunovic
Is going to have to focus much more on Thursday compared to how he did against Partick Thistle. He rarely makes mistakes such as the one he did on Saturday so hopefully he’ll bounce back.
Kieran Tierney
The full-back will want to push forward to help out in attack as much as he can but will also have to be wary at the back too.
Scott Brown
The skipper will know that if there’s any game he can’t slip up in, it’s this one. Is more than capable of putting in a dominant and commanding display in midfield.
Olivier Ntcham
Will look to get forward and create plenty of chances for both the wingers and striker. His stamina and commitment on the park is unquestionable, but whether he can apply his traits to Thursday’s game remains a question.
James Forrest
Goes into this one fresh off the back of bagging his first ever senior hat-trick at the weekend, so will be in high spirits. If he can put in a similar performance against Zenit then the Hoops could have a good chance of finding the back of the net.
Charly Musonda
Despite the number ten role not being his strongest, the tricky Belgian can still have an impact on the game by looking for space and advancing play.
Scott Sinclair
A good display from the left-winger would benefit the team and allow chances to be created in the final third. His link-up play with Tierney in particular would allow either of them to get into a good position to be able to cross the ball and into the danger area.
Moussa Dembele
Is the most equipped striker for this match. If he receives the proper service and capitalises on the opposition’s potential mistakes then he could be in with a chance of bagging a goal or two.
