Charly Musonda admits to tough start in Scotland
As revealed by The Daily Record, Charly Musonda has opened up on his tough start to his Celtic career and playing north of the border after his loan move from Chelsea in January.
The youngster was a real coup for Celtic in the window, joining for 18 months as he looks to develop and reach his high potential under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers.
Speaking to the media, the 21-year-old talked of a ‘really hard’ start at Celtic.
It has been really hard, but I expected that.
In the Premier League there are more 50/50 games, but this is Celtic. We are expected to win every time because I think we have much better players than every single team.
Everybody wants to beat us, so they give everything in the matches and there are more personal duels.
However the winger is confident that he can settle down and show his real quality on the pitch in the coming games.
For myself I just try to play my game and accept that is the way it is.
It is good to go up against players who are going to bring that toughness, and this will help me develop as a footballer.
Musonda has been in and out of Rodgers’ starting eleven since joining the club but played a crucial part in the recent win over Zenit St.Petersburg after coming off the bench to provide a brilliant assist for Callum McGregor’s goal.
