Celtic will wait until the end of the season before they make a final decision on whether to make Odsonne Edouard’s loan move to the club a permanent deal.
As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic plan to wait until the summer before they make a final judgement on the 20-year-old.
Edouard is currently the talk of the Green and White parts of Glasgow after scoring the winning goal in the 3-2 win over Rangers last weekend.
According to the report, Celtic have the first refusal to sign the forward from Paris Saint-Germain for £7million, which means they are in no rush to make a decision.
£7million would make the Frenchman Celtic’s most expensive player ever, as John Hartson and Chris Sutton both hold the record in terms of Celtic’s most expensive purchases as the duo cost £6million each.
If any other clubs make a bid for the 20-year-old, Celtic will still get the chance to pay £7million for him, time will tell if they think he’s worth breaking the club’s transfer record for.
