Celtic are hoping to sign goalkeeper Scott Bain in the summer, but Scottish Premiership rivals Hibs and Hearts are also keen to acquire the 26-year-old on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Bain, who is on loan at Celtic from Dundee, made his debut for the Scottish champions as they defeated local rivals Rangers 3-2 and earned good reviews for his performance.
As per a report in the Dundee Evening Telegraph, Celtic were willing to sign Bain on a permanent deal in January but they didn’t have the time to negotiate a deal, so they took him on loan instead.
The shot-stopper will be a free agent at the end of the season and will have his pick of some of Scotland’s best clubs. His decision regarding his next destination will come down to a combination of money and playing time, so it remains to be seen if Celtic can convince him to stay.
