Hendry called up for international duty with Scotland
January recruit Jack Hendry has continued his impressive start to his Celtic career by earning his debut call-up to the Scotland national side after his teammate Kieran Tierney and Rangers’ Russell Martin withdrew from the squad.
Hendry will be drafted in to Alex McLeish’s squad as defensive back-up for the upcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary.

Hendry joined Celtic, along with fellow Dundee man Scott Bain, on transfer deadline day in January for over £1 million.
The 22-year-old, who returned to the Glasgow club after playing in their youth academy, has made five appearances in the league so far and started in the 0-0 draw with Motherwell on Sunday.
He was twice brought on as a sub with Celtic down to 10 men against Aberdeen and then Rangers. He looked to be a calm head on the ball and shored up the Hoops’ leaky defence.
As the form of both Mikael Lustig and Jozo Simunovic has dipped in this later stage of the season, Brendan Rodgers may feel more inclined to give the former Wigan man more game time after a good showing in recent games.
