Ahead of Celtic’s rescheduled home game against Dundee on Wednesday, we at Read Celtic will role-play and predict the starting XI.
We will be playing the role of Brendan Rodgers and will be choosing the starting XI, as well as predicting how the team will line-up on the pitch.
It also includes a bit of insight into what we expect from each player, and what they can do to make the difference.
The sides were originally supposed to meet at the end of February, but the snowy conditions led to a postponement.
Celtic ran out as 2-0 winners at Dens Park in the last fixture between the sides on St Stephen’s Day, with goals from James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths.
With Bain unable to face his parent club, Gordon is expected to return to the team for the first time since his injury.
Mikael Lustig
Rodgers will likely select the Swede to start at right-back after featuring in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Ross County.
Kristoffer Ajer
The Norwegian international has been in terrific form and doesn’t look like losing his place in the team anytime soon.
Jack Hendry
Didn’t feature at the weekend after having made his debut for the Scotland senior team days before. Could be in for a start against his former club.
Kieran Tierney
Hasn’t racked up any minutes since the win over Rangers at Ibrox three weeks ago following a calf injury. Could be set to make his first start since then.
Scott Brown
Will captain the team and start in midfield as always.
Stuart Armstrong
Was fired up in the weekend win over Ross County and showed what fans were missing. Bagged a goal and a MOTM award for his brilliant efforts. Deserves to start.
Patrick Roberts
In contention to start his first game in five months after returning from injury. Has made two substitute appearances since then so his fitness levels will be increasing as time goes by.
Tom Rogic
Got on the score-sheet on Saturday and put in a decent shift. Will likely start this one.
Scott Sinclair
Rodgers clearly has faith in him to deliver and break his duck. Musonda could be an outside choice to start but it’ll likely be Sinclair.
Moussa Dembele
Opened the scoring at the weekend after converting the penalty. Has six goals in his last seven games for club and country so is in good form.
