Manchester United are stepping up their interest in Celtic defender Kieran Tierney as they prepare to send scouts to watch the player against Rangers.
The Daily Mail, as cited by Sky Sports claim that the player will be under close inspection during the Derby meeting in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
Several clubs have been linked with a move for Tierney, but Manchester United have been leading the race to sign him for some time.
The 20-year-old has impressed many at Celtic during Brendan Rodgers’ time at the club.
The young Scot has been used both as a left-back and as a centre-back throughout this season at Celtic Park, something that reportedly has not gone unnoticed by the Premier League giants.
Tierney will be hoping that he can make an impact on the game and boost Celtic’s chances of completing back-to-back domestic trebles under the former Liverpool and Swansea City boss.
