Celtic and Aston Villa eyeing move for Yeovil Town defender Tom James
Celtic and Aston Villa are both thought to be interested in Yeovil Town defender Tom James.
A report from the Birmingham Mail claims that both sides, as well as Bristol City and Swansea have expressed an interest in the Welsh defender.
The former Cardiff City defender has impressed in League Two this season under Darren Way, prompting several clubs to take a look at him this summer.
James had come through the ranks at Cardiff but struggled to make the grade with the former Premier League outfit, making just one senior appearance.
In January 2017, he saw his contract mutually terminated at Cardiff, allowing him to join Yeovil and take the first steps of his senior career.
James is a former Welsh U-19 international but now at the age of 22, has not represented his country since 2014.
Since joining Yeovil he has been ever-present, helping the club steer away from the relegation zone in League Two and even featured against Manchester United in the FA Cup earlier this season.
