Celtic and Hibernian are thought to have settled on a fee of £275,000 in a deal which will also send Dylan McGeouch to Hibs’ permanently; who spent last year on loan there and Liam Henderson on loan to Easter Road, reports the Express.
Allan was at Lennoxtown on Thursday and the transfer will be completed if all three players involved agree on their respective terms involved in completing such a move.
Earlier today, manager Ronny Deila refused to confirm or deny reports that there was an interest in the 23-year-old linking up with the Hoops, who was also wanted by Rangers.
Hibernian head coach Alan Stubbs also declined to speak on the matter when asked on Thursday if Celtic had made an offer for Allan.
The Championship side made three bids for the Scottish midfielder but were all rejected by Hibernian due to them being rivals in the second tier of Scottish football.
Following the second rejected bid, Allan submitted a transfer request but always maintained he wanted to stay in Scotland. It seems that his wish will be granted when he joins the league champions in search of their fifth title in a row and who will be the only Scottish side to feature in Europe this year.
