Celtic and Hibernian have agreed on a fee of £275,000 for Scottish midfielder Scott Allan who has signed a four-year deal worth around £10,000 per week with the Glasgow side, which was confirmed by Celtic’s official website.
Deila has now signed four players in this summer’s transfer window, having already secured Dedryk Boyata and Saidy Janko from Manchester City and United. Striker Nadir Ciftci also signed for Celtic earlier this summer from Dundee United.
Dylan McGeouch who spent last year on loan at Easter Road will join them permanently as part of the deal and youngster Liam Henderson will also join the Edinburgh side on a season-long loan.
Allan was at Celtic Park earlier this afternoon for a medical ahead of the move to the League Champions and the only Scottish team that will feature in Europe.
The 23-year-old will likely be in the stands for Celtic’s home game against Inverness CT tomorrow as the fixture has come too early for him. But he will see his first European game as Bhoy on Wednesday when Malmo visits Glasgow for the first-leg of the Champions League play-off.
Rangers made three bids for the Scottish midfielder but were all rejected by Hibernian due to them being rivals in the second tier of Scottish football.
Following the second rejected bid, Allan submitted a transfer request but always maintained he wanted to stay in Scotland.
