Former Celtic striker John Hartson says Celtic need a victory tonight going into the second-leg in Sweden next Tuesday.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the ex-Hoops striker, who played during some of the glory days on The Road To Seville and some of the clubs most memorable Champions league nights against Juventus and Barcelona.
It’s the importance of Champions League football around the club and financially and the feel good factor around the club, as they never quite made it last season.
I thought they gave themselves quite a lot to do in the last round against Qarabag and they need to take a better result over to Sweden next week.
While playing at home might not be the preference for many Celtic fans, a good performance could put the tie out of reach before the trip to Sweden. Similarly, it could be a nightmare scenario having to go out an attack Malmo to overturn a first-leg defeat at home.
The crowd at Celtic Park will need to get behind the Bhoys to unease the Swedish side and spur Celtic onto victory and another coveted appearance in the Champions league group stages.
