Preview: Celtic vs. Aberdeen (A)

This is the first meeting between Celtic and Aberdeen this season in what should be an enthralling game. The two teams are the only remaining unbeaten sides in the league this season.

Here’s a preview for Saturday afternoon’s game at Pittodrie.

Manager Derek McInnes will be hoping to set a new club record of six consecutive wins tomorrow against Celtic.

And after collecting the August Manager of the Month award, it would be the perfect start to September for Aberdeen to beat top-of-the-table side Celtic.

Last time out the Dons disposed of Partick Thistle with relative ease and main man Adam Rooney, who scored the first of two goals in the win, already has four league goals to his name.

Celtic won all four games last season, scoring nine goals and conceding just two, both of which came in the first two meetings.

Aberdeen’s last win over Celtic was in February 2014 when won 2-1. They also beat Celtic by the same scoreline two weeks prior in a Scottish Cup game at Celtic Park.
