Celtic manager Ronny Deila is only a couple of days away from selecting his team for the group stage opener against Ajax but is already under pressure from the board.
It is believed that on Sunday night, Deila was warned that he could be sacked should Celtic fail to progress from their group that features Fenerbahce, Molde and the aforementioned Ajax.
As reported by the Herald Scotland, the Norwegian could walk out the doors of Paradise if he can’t guide Celtic into the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
This comes after the weekend’s disappointing 2-1 loss to 10-man Aberdeen and just before the trip to Amsterdam to take on recent Dutch foes, Ajax.
The loss to the Dons leaves Celtic in second place and two points adrift of league leaders Aberdeen, who also have a game in hand over the league champions.
For now, Celtic’s attention will be on the European front when they face Ajax but must remain focused in the domestic league or face a battle for the title.
