While he might not don the green and white Hoops of Celtic anymore, Kayal still hasn’t forgotten his time here.
But maybe he would have hoped it panned out a bit differently.
After his current team Brighton and Hove Albion beat Rotherham 2-1 last night, Kayal retweeted this tweet, but we aren’t sure which part he is inadvertently agreeing with.
@page_dave @beramangela Ridiculously good signing. Madness. What were Celtic thinking? Outstanding player

The Israeli midfielder failed to impress current manager Ronny Deila having joined Celtic in 2010 from Maccabi Haifa for a fee of around £1.2 million.
When he first joined Kayal was a fairly regular player in the team making 119 appearances in four years under Neil Lennon.
However, he made just 13 appearances under the Norwegian and left for the south coast side in January in pursuit of first team football.
Injuries hampered his time at Celtic missing 48 games through various injuries, due his aggressive and competitive style of play.
Highlights of his time at Celtic included the famous win against Barcelona at Celtic Park and playing for Celtic in the last-16 of the Champions League.
He also scored in the Champions league against Ajax, the Hoops’ opponents tomorrow night in the Europa League.
