Celtic youngster Saidy Janko is ready for the game against Raith Rovers tomorrow night when they visit Paradise.
The right-back has impressed so far this season, showing plenty of attacking intent and ability. His performances of late were noted and on Sunday he received the man of the match award for his efforts.
Janko got forward at will down the right flank on Sunday and got his first assist of the season with a looping cross that found Izaguirre at the back post.
Speaking to the media today at Celtic Park, the 19-year-old received plaudits for his performance but he also praised his teammates performances, as per Celtic’s official Twitter account.
It was a good team performance, but there were other great players like Emilio and Tom, who played really well, but I’m honoured.
Despite his age, the Swiss youngster knows that although Raith Rovers are a division below the league champions, they can’t be taken lightly.
What I’ve learned here is that you can’t underestimate anyone.
You have to give 100% if it’s Europa League or a Championship team, you play your best.
The game tomorrow against Raith Rovers is the third round of the Scottish League Cup with Celtic hoping to continue from where they left off on Sunday.
