Celtic manager Ronny Deila has reportedly sent scouts to track Aalesud’s in-form striker Leke James.
That’s according to reports from Sport in a Storm who say the Hoops are monitoring the highly-rated striker.
The Nigerian striker has scored seven goals in his last 10 games and has attracted the interest of Ronny Deila in his home nation, Norway.
At 22-years of age, James has impressed in recent games for Aalesund who sit 11th in the Tippeligaen league table.
His red-hot form comes after scoring 35 goals in his previous 85 appearances for the Norwegian side having joined the in 2012.
Aalesund brought the Nigerian to Norway as a teenager having never played professional football before and impressed on a trial back in 2011.
A move away from the Norwegian side was blocked last summer after the club lost the 22-year-old’s strike partner Abderrazak Hamdallah in February last year.
Ronny Deila would have known of the striker from his time in Norway as the Stromsgodest manager before his move to Celtic and will be keen to know how he is progressing.
