Manchester United striker James Wilson is set to join Celtic on a five-month loan in January, in an attempt to get some first-team football under his belt.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the 19-year-old was given the go-ahead to move to the league champions and link up with two former team-mates Tyler Blackett, who is on loan and Saidy Janko, who was signed by Celtic on a permanent deal back in June.
It is thought Ronny Deila is keen to add the young Englishman to his ranks and bolster his attacking options behind Leigh Griffiths and Nadir Ciftci.
Wilson has scored four goals in 18 appearances for the Premier League club, but the summer signing of Anthony Martial has pushed him down the pecking order once again, despite the departure of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.
The young striker has also represented England from Under-16 level right up to their Under-21 squad and scored on his debut against the United States back in September. Wilson has also netted 12 goals in 20 appearances for Manchester United’s Under-21 team and could be a useful asset for Ronny Deila.
