Molde striker Ola Kamara says he will do whatever it takes to ruin the homecoming for his two fellow Norwegian’s Ronny Deila and Stefan Johansen.
The striker has scored 20 times this season for the Norwegian side who sit seventh in their domestic league but are unbeaten in this year’s Europa League.
On the first match day, they shocked group favourites Fenerbahce, beating them 3-1 in Istanbul. Their second group stage game against Ajax ended 1-1, leaving them top of group A by two points over Celtic and Ajax who are both on two points.
Kamara is relishing the chance go to head-to-head with his former manager and team-mate Johansen from their Stromgodest days. He was part of Deila’s title winning side in 2013 and will have fond memories of his opposing manager on Thursday.
Although he shared success with his former manager Deila and Johansen on the field, he won’t be giving them a warm welcome, reports the Glasgow Evening Times.
There will be extra motivation for the guys when Stefan comes.
We don’t want him to come home and do well.
The players will be competitive and he’s going to have a hard time.
We know he is a great player so we need to try and take him out of the game. It will be the same for Nir Bitton.
Even though they have surprised a few people in Norway, Kamara firmly believes this is the biggest game of the group because of the return of the two Norwegian’s.
For the people of Norway this game is bigger than our first two matches with Ajax and Fenerbahce.
Everybody is aware how well they are doing and how Celtic are doing so that’s why this is such an important game.
I will catch up with both of them after the game and hopefully I will be the one with a smile on my face.
The 26-year-old, who is on loan from Austrian side Austria Wien, was high of praise for Deila who gave him a chance at the beginning of his career at Stromgodest.
I spent four and a half year working under Ronny from him saving us from relegation when he took over to winning the championship.
It was an amazing period of my career and he played a massive part in my development.
He had such a big influence on me and winning the title was the highlight of my career.
