Eoghan O’Connell has returned to the club after picking up an injury back in September and has not featured since.
The Manchester Evening News reported back in September that the 20-year-old picked up an injury in training and was being looked at before a decision was made on his future at the club.
It now seems however that he will not return to Oldham and has returned to Lennoxtown according to Matt McGlone on Twitter.

The Irishman joined Oldham during the summer transfer window and he was expected to return to his parent club, Celtic on January 1st, 2016.
Since making his first-team debut against Ross County in March 2014, O’Connell has made five further appearances for the league champions but could be set for a period on the sidelines if the injury sustained is serious.
He has been receiving treatment at the League one club for some time now, but it seems his time on loan has come to a disappointing end. Although, given the state of the Celtic defence at the moment, it might not be the worst thing.
