Celtic face a nervous wait to discover the extent of Ryan Christie’s knee injury who signed for the Hoops in the summer.
He sustained the injury during Inverness’ 3-1 against Motherwell as reported by the Daily Record.
The 20-year-old midfielder signed for Celtic on September 1st from Inverness CT for a fee of around £500,000 and was immediately loaned back to the club for the season.
However, the Hoops do have the option to recall him in January, but that scenario is up in the air as they wait to see how serious the injury is.
Christie followed in his father Charlie Christie’s footsteps to link up with the most successful club in Scotland, but the dream of making his first appearance is unclear at the moment.
He also looks set to miss Scotland’s Under-21 European qualifier on Friday against Ukraine after twisting his knee at Fir Park.
At Inverness this season, Christie has made 15 appearances, notching six assists and scoring three goals, including this belter against Aberdeen earlier this season.
