Former Premier League star Tim Cahill has praised his international team-mate Tom Rogic for turning around his career after his injury set-backs.
The 22-year-old had an injury-riddled few years but is now back on track after scoring the opening goal in Celtic’s 4-1 win over Ross County. The goal itself was of the highest quality, as he let the ball run across his body before firing a left-footed shot past the County ‘keeper.
He will arrive at the Socceroos’ camp on Tuesday on the back of another good performance and will hope it aids his chances of playing a role in Australia’s World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan on Thursday night.

Ahead of that trip to his home nation, Socceroos’ legend Tim Cahill hailed Rogic’s performances as quoted by FourFourTwo, saying:
This is a great story because Tommy is a player I’ve known for a long time and someone I admire a lot.
I just feel now he needs his time to play. Everyone knows he can shine but for him he just needs space.
Naturally Tommy will thrive and he’ll be one of our top players because of his ability and he’s playing for one of the biggest clubs in Celtic.
He’s getting his rewards now for the hard work he’s putting in.
Celtic’s star of the moment will be hoping to improve upon his most recent performance against Ross County and his substitute appearance against Hearts several weeks ago in League Cup.
The Hoops have two crucial European games coming up against Ajax and Fenerbahce that will determine whether they will play any further role in Europe this year.
