Stuart Armstrong has praised the meteoric rise of Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney from the development and youth squad to the first-team.
Kieran Tierney has been a breath of fresh air for Celtic fans, as the boyhood Hoops fan acts out his dream on a daily basis.
It was less than 12 months ago that the 18-year-old left-back broke his ankle in training and faced several months on the sideline.
Since his return to action, Tierney has gone on to make his first appearance in April, to his first start on flag day and most recently his first start in Europe against Fenerbahce.
Just over a fortnight ago, despite a 2-1 loss to Molde Tierney’s man of the match performance opened the eyes of many Celtic and football fans to the type of player he is.

Being a boyhood fan, Tierney knows what the club means to the fans, showing the tenacity and drive fans want to see from players.
Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times, Armstrong praised Tierney for his rise in the team and said:
For a young man you have to take your hat off to him.
He has shown a great aptitude to come into the team and not just come in and play but come in and really catch the eye.
He has been excellent and you have to applaud that spirit and ability, particularly given just how young he is.
