Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has weighed into the debate between Gary Hooper and Leigh Griffiths.
Ronny Deila’s predecessor Lennon, was in charge at Celtic for four years before deciding to leave and pursue a new challenge. That new challenge has found him at Bolton, who currently sit 23rd and three points off safety.
Lennon was in charge during one of Celtic’s most iconic moments in history – beating Barcelona 2-1 at Paradise.
He also oversaw a complete overhaul in the Scottish top flight, as Celtic’s main rivals Rangers and Hearts fell out of the top division after going into administration and enduring further misery which is still unresolved.

One current debate amongst Celtic fans is who is a better striker, Hooper or Griffiths?
The former scored 82 goals in 132 appearances for the Hooper whereas Griffiths has scored 45 goals in 80 appearances so far.
As quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times, Lennon gave his opinion and said:
He [Griffiths] is a natural goalscorer and you can’t coach that, his movement was always very good.
He’s got a bit of the devil in him – you don’t want to coach that out because some players need that, it helps them play with an edge.
He is maybe not at the level of a [Gary] Hooper but is without doubt a quality finisher and one you could work with and make even better. I’ve got a lot of time for him and I’m glad things are going well now at Celtic.
