Dundee owners are set to use the global appeal of Celtic in an attempt to reach out to the US market and benefit the Scottish game.
Owners of the Dark Blues have reportedly held preliminary discussions with the Scottish Professional Football League about the possibility of a game in America.
The game would include Celtic, the biggest attraction in Scotland because of their history, and cities being mentioned to host the game include Boston and Philadelphia.
Celtic played Real Madrid in a friendly back in 2012 in an attempt to saturate the US market, but haven’t delved into it since.

Tim Keyes and his business partner John Nelms took ownership of Dundee in 2013 after investing in the club and are now looking to take the game to their home country.
STV News says the proposed game would take place next season, with next month’s still going ahead at Dens Park.
The move comes a month after Celtic revealed they were exploring the practicality of starting a franchise in the North American Soccer League.
The National Football League have already taken their brand globally, with three games a year being played at Wembley and growing rumours of an NFL franchise in London.
With the latest deal in place with Tottenham Hotspur to host games and build facilities specifically for the NFL games, maybe it’s time football did the same.
