Summer signing Scott Allan has revealed that injuries have held him back from making his first start for the Hoops.
Allan moved from Hibernian for a few of £275,000 in a cloud of controversy as his boyhood club Rangers, had three bids rejected.
Having made the move to the league champions, the 23-year-old was hoping to have an impact for Ronny Deila’s team but has made just four substitute appearances so far.
A stuttering start to his career at Celtic hasn’t stopped him from working hard and continuing to learn and develop as a player.

Speaking about his frustrating start to life at Celtic, as quoted by the Daily Mail , Allan said:
Every single day I’d people asking me why I wasn’t playing,
I had a grade one medial injury and came back too early so I stalled again.
I was out for six weeks so my momentum kind of went. I had to get myself together, so I worked hard off the park and I’m now up and running. Hopefully I can kick on.
I wouldn’t say it’s difficult when people are asking you every day – more annoying after a while when you find yourself answering the same question.
However, his most recent performance, a 20-minute cameo against Ajax, showed glimpses of what the midfielder can do.
His ability on the ball was clear to see on Thursday night, as he instinctively played the ball through to Leigh Griffiths, despite limited time on the field with Celtic’s prolific goal scorer.
Both players came from Hibernian and failed to make the cut in England, but Allan has praised the striker, after a disappointing performance in front of goal against the Dutch league leaders.
Leigh’s been harsh on himself. It’s a team game – you attack and defend. The goal cost us at the end and we might also have got one.
He had a few chances, but you can’t really argue with his goal record this year – he’s probably been our best player this season.
Allan will be hoping to get another chance to impress Deila on Sunday when Celtic travel to Inverness, and could even make his first start in the Hoops jersey.
Y the hell is Ronny we need a good boss for Celtic there was one in the stand
