Team news: Celtic vs. Inverness CT (A)

Celtic will look to bounce back from Thursday’s defeat that knocked them out of the Europa league.

Ronny Deila’s men could not overcome a lengthy list of suspensions and injuries succumbing to Ajax in a 2-1 defeat.

The Hoops are unbeaten in their last 10 games domestically and face an Inverness side that lost 2-1 last time out to Partick Thistle.

The two sides met earlier on this season, as Celtic won comfortably 4-2 at Paradise.

Stefan Johansen and Nir Bitton could return to the team after missing Thursday night’s game.

Kris Commons will be assessed today (Saturday) and a decision will be made on his fitness.

Charlie Mulgrew has been ruled out of the game with a recurring thigh injury. The utility man walked off the field and down the tunnel when Ajax scored their second after pulling up when Celtic’s corner kick which led to the goal broke down.

Scott Brown will begin his road to recovery after it emerged he will miss up to three months of action through injury.

Inverness forward Dani Lopez is suspended for the visit of Ladbrokes Premiership leaders Celtic following his spitting offence in an under-20s match against St Johnstone.

Jordan Roberts (groin) is unlikely to feature.

Richie Foran, Aaron Doran and Dean Brill remain out with long-term knee injuries.
