Carlton Cole had a hand in one of the strangest goals ever as Celtic won 3-1.
Celtic started brightly in the game and Callum McGregor got his second goal of the season after just his second start of the season.
He picked the ball up in midfield as the Inverness midfield and defence parted allowing McGregor to get a free shot on goal as he fired the ball into the bottom corner after seven minutes.
Hoops couldn’t capitalise on the goal however, as Caley Thistle hit back through top scorer Miles Storey.
Storey scored his seventh of the season after Stuart Armstrong lost possession in the middle of the park and following Craig Gordon’s save’ the striker was on hand to tap in the follow-up.
Scott Allan’s introduction gave the team life as he found Kieran Tierney with a perfectly weighted pass and Leigh Griffiths was on hand to turn in Tierney’s cross.
Cole, got on the end of Griffiths effort as the striker fell over and seemingly handled the ball onto an Inverness player as the ball trickled into the net.
Here’s how we rated the Celtic players today.
