Scott Brown reveals he would love Nakamura back at Celtic

Celtic captain Scott Brown revealed he would love to see one free-kick specialist playing in the green and white Hoops again.

Brown is currently out injured for Celtic after picking up a knock against Kilmarnock which turned out to be more serious than first feared. He is expected to miss up to three months of action.

Speaking at a Q&A event hosted by the Celtic View, Brown said he would love Japanese sensation Shunsuke Nakamura to return to Celtic.

Nakamura was a fan favourite with his ability on the ball to dribble past people or curl the ball over the wall and into the top corner from 30 yards.

He had bags of ability and was adored by every Hoops fan during his four year stint at the club.

The 37-year-old joined Celtic in 2006 under Gordon Strachan and his genius in midfield was something Celtic fans hadn’t seen since Lubo Moravcik, another Celtic great.

During his four seasons at the club, Nakamura scored 28 goals in 140 appearances for Celtic including his title-winning goal in 2007 against Kilmarnock, and this belter against Rangers at Paradise.
