Following Jozo Simunovic’s summer move to Celtic from Dinamo Zagreb, Celtic are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with another young star in their ranks.
Davor Lovren, young brother of Liverpool central defender Dejan Lovren has caught Celtic’s eye when they were scouting current Hoops defender Jozo Simunovic.
According to Vecrenji, Celtic are looking to finalise the deal in January.
He also impressed scouts watching him in action during the Under-17 World Cup in Chile, where he helped his home nation qualify for the quarter-finals..
The 17-year-old creative midfielder has impressed Celtic scouts with his dazzling performances and they are reportedly looking to make it back to back transfer windows with a Croatian player signing from Dinamo Zagreb.
Ronny Deila is keen to continue his philosophy of signing young players, however experience will be needed in the squad in January to help counter the loss of Celtic captain Scott Brown.
Liverpool are also keen to sign another Lovren, with Jurgen Klopp looking to bring in his own players to aid the squad full of confidence at the moment.
