Ronny Deila will be hoping there is no European hangover when Celtic travel to McDiarmid Park on Sunday.
The Hoops battled hard to earn their third point on Thursday against Fenerbahce and could have won the game with the Turkish side down to 10-men.
Goals from Leigh Griffiths, Tom Rogic and Charlie Mulgrew were enough to give Celtic victory the last time the team met in August at Paradise.
Deila’s men will have to be wary of St Johnstone as they look to extend a seven-match unbeaten run.
Tommy Wright’s men will be looking for a win in successive seasons, having beaten Celtic 1-0 last season.
Celtic
Stefan Johansen will be assessed before Sunday after picking up a knee injury in the 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce in Istanbul.
Leigh Griffiths has recovered from the calf injury he sustained prior to Thursday’s game in Turkey and should start.
Carlton Cole also returns to the squad as he was ineligible to play against Fenerbahce.
Scott Brown, Saidy Janko and Charlie Mulgrew are all out for an extended period of time.
St Johnstone
St Johnstone’s Darnell Fisher is unable to feature against parent club Celtic in Sunday’s fixture due to the terms of his season-long loan deal.
Steven Anderson is likely to return to central defence after recovering from an ankle injury and that will allow Wright to move Joe Shaughnessy across to right-back.
Graham Cummins, who penned a two-year contract extension in midweek, is still ruled out by a hamstring strain while midfielder Simon Lappin is still recovering from groin surgery.
