Player ratings: Celtic 1-2 Motherwell (H)

On the day Celtic hailed Billy McNeill, there was little hailing the performance inside Paradise.

Celtic were on the wrong end of three early goals in the second half.

The first came from Nir Bitton but a brace from Louis Moult gave the away side all three points.

The first-half came and went as neither side created any clear-cut chances.

Nadir Ciftci’s blocked shot was probably the best chance of the half and the most either keeper had to do.

Motherwell defended well and made it difficult for Ronny Deila’s men to get a shot on goal and left Hoops fans frustrated.

The game burst into life in the second-half as Celtic’s early goal through Bitton was cancelled out by two quick goals from Moult.

Celtic continued to create chances but couldn’t find an equaliser in the game.
